At the bus-launch, vendors blare all sorts of wares. Among them, some also highlighted the properties of plants as a claim to cure diseases. Many buy these things following their words. In this way, two people died after consuming the alleged Kaviraji medicine in the bus. Those who gave it, were not ordinary goods sellers, but boarded the bus targeting specific people to extort money. Kabiraji made the people unconscious with a high dose of anesthetic in the name of medicine and took away the money.

Two persons named Al Imran (45) and Shaukat Fakir (53) died after taking 'Kabiraji medicine' in a bus from Ashulia in Dhaka on February 6. Both of their homes are in Gopalganj. Imran lived with his family in Tongi. And Shaukat's house was in Ashulia. They boarded the bus and left for their respective workplaces. But on the instigation of the alleged Kaviraj in the bus, they took the medicine. After falling unconscious, the fraudster's team got stuck with the money they had. Two later died in hospital. The police have arrested four members of the organized crime gang in connection with the separate incident. They are Md. Shamsuddin (53), Md. Nazrul Islam (45), Akram Ali (38) and Delwar Hossain (40). Among them, Akram gave a confessional statement in the court admitting the responsibility of Imran's murder.
